Myosotidium hortensia- Chatham Island Forget me not

Myosotidium hortensia (Chatham Island Forget Me Not) have beautiful thick glossy leaves and spectacular blue flowers. Chatham Island forget-me-nots are one of the most attractive of New Zealand's herbaceous native plants. There is only one species of Myosotidium, and in the wild it grows on exposed coastal sites in the Chatham Islands. In gardens this easycare plant needs shelter from frost and some shade during hot summers. It prefers a well-drained moist, compost-rich soil.

Buxus sempervirens - Box Hedging

Buxus sempervirens, commonly known as English box.  Bushy evergreen shrub with lush green foliage, making this a must for hedging in a formal garden. Very hardy and very forgiving. For a tight hedge, plant at 20cm spacing. Can be kept as low as 30cm in height, but will get to 1m tall if kept untrimmed.

Carpinus betulus - Hornbeam

Carpinus betulus, commonly know and Hornbeam - is a great option if you want to add seasonality to your garden. Golden yellow in autumn and a crispy green in summer, and although it is deciduous it holds rusted coloured leaves throughout winter creating privacy and screening all year round. Hornbeam is able to be pruned to a variety of heights, and trimmed to be more or less formal depending on your personal preferences. Hornbeam grows in a variety of conditions and will tolerate wind and cold, making it a great option for gardens top to bottom of New Zealand.

Helleborus Ivory Prince boasts beautiful flowers which are ivory painted with rose and chartreuse coloring emerging as they age. Helleborus are a standout plant in the garden in late winter as they are one of the first plants to flower, giving the feeling that spring is just around the corner. Helleborus are a very low-maintenance plant that will keep giving year after year. They like a well-drained and shady spot in the garden.
