Strobilanthes anisophyllus

Strobilanthes anisophyllus, also known as Goldfussia, is an evergreen shrub, native to the tropical regions of Asia. It is well-known for its vibrant foliage and beautiful tubular, mauve-purple flowers that bloom intermittently throughout the year. The elongated, lustrous leaves provide an interesting texture and lushness to garden landscapes. This plant thrives in a variety of conditions, although it prefers a semi-shade location with well-drained soil. It is relatively low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. At maturity, Strobilanthes anisophyllus can reach up to 1.5 metres in height and width, making it an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings and as a container plant.
