Pachysandra terminalis

Pachysandra terminalis is a spreading, evergreen perennial which produces lush green leaves throughout the year and clusters of white flowers in summer. Makes a great ground cover in shady areas of the garden. 15cm x 30cm.

Trimming: Trim back old and damaged leaves in early spring to encourage new growth and maintain a neat appearance. You can also lightly prune throughout the growing season to control its spread.

Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in early spring to promote healthy growth and lush foliage.

Watering: Water regularly during the establishment phase and during prolonged dry periods. Once established, it is relatively drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during very dry spells.

Pest Control: This plant is generally pest-free, but keep an eye out for scale insects. If an infestation occurs, treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Disease Management: Pachysandra terminalis can be susceptible to leaf blight and root rot. Ensure proper spacing for good air circulation and well-drained soil to prevent these issues. Remove and dispose of any infected leaves promptly and apply a suitable fungicide if necessary.
