Michelia Lemon Fragrant.  This exciting new michelia cross produces a mass of creamy-white, lemon-scented blooms over a long period. An attractive, smaller evergreen tree, ideal for all gardens. Ideal for hedging or as a specimen planting. Hardy. PVR applied for. May be renamed. 4 x 3m

Trimming: Prune Michelia Lemon Fragrant lightly after the flowering period in late spring or early summer to maintain its shape and size. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches to promote healthy growth.

Deadheading: Remove spent flowers to encourage further flowering and maintain a neat appearance.

Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in early spring and again in midsummer to support robust growth and abundant flowering.

Watering: Water regularly during the establishment phase, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Once established, water deeply during prolonged dry spells, particularly in summer.

Pest Control: Inspect regularly for common pests such as aphids, scale insects, and spider mites. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil as needed.

Disease Management: Monitor for signs of leaf spot and root rot. Ensure good air circulation around the plant and avoid overhead watering to prevent leaf spot. Provide well-draining soil to avoid root rot. Remove and dispose of any affected plant parts promptly. Apply fungicides if necessary, following the product instructions.
