Hydrangea Grandad

Hydrangea macrophylla Grandad also known as Mophead Hydrangea has large dinner plate-sized heads of pure white flowers that look stunning against its lush green foliage in summer through to autumn. 

The symmetrical shape and consistent blooming of hydrangeas make them suitable for more formal, structured gardens or where white is a common theme. White hydrangeas are perfect for a traditional cottage garden, where they can be mixed with other flowering plants to create a lush, romantic look. They look great planted en mass as a border and are also a great choice for coastal gardens, due to their tolerance of sea spray.

Just remember, hydrangeas prefer well-drained soil and do best with some shade, especially in the afternoon, so they should be placed accordingly in the garden.
