Trachelium caeruleum Lake Michigan Violet
Notify MeTrachelium caeruleum Lake Michigan Violet, also referred to as Blue Throatwort, is a wonderful erect, deciduous perennial and is highly sought after as a cut flower. This variety of Trachelium has oval to lance-shaped, pointed, toothed, dark green leaves and the most beautiful dome-shaped flower heads of lightly fragrant, deep violet flowers in summer.
Lake Michigan flowers for a long period of time from late-spring, especially if picked regularly and grown in a warm climate. Bees and butterflies love it! Best grown in full sun or partial shade with some protection from frosts. Can be grown as an annual in frost-prone climates.
Grows to up to approximately 90cm high x 40cm wide.
