Notify MeSutera Everest Ice is a vigorous, trailing perennial known for its abundant pure white flowers with bright yellow centres, appearing continuously from early Spring through to late Autumn. The crisp white flowers stand out beautifully against the fine green foliage, creating a clean, cascading effect ideal for brightening up garden displays.
Perfect for cottage, coastal, or contemporary gardens, Sutera Everest Ice is ideal for hanging baskets, containers, window boxes, or as groundcover in the front of garden beds. It thrives in full sun to partial shade with moist, free-draining soil and benefits from regular watering and feeding to maintain its long flowering period. Space approximately 25-30 cm apart for lush trailing coverage.
Forms a trailing plant approximately 15-20 cm high and up to 60 cm wide.
Trimming: Lightly trim or pinch back stems throughout the growing season to maintain a compact, trailing shape and encourage continual flowering. A mid-season trim can help rejuvenate the plant if it becomes leggy.
Fertilising: Feed every 2-3 weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser. In containers or hanging baskets, apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring and top up as needed.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist, especially during warm or dry periods. Sutera Everest Ice does not tolerate drought - avoid letting the soil dry out completely. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
Pest Control: Typically pest-free, but watch for aphids or whiteflies on tender growth. Treat with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil if needed.
Disease Management: Ensure good airflow and avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of powdery mildew and other fungal issues. Remove any yellowing or damaged foliage promptly.
