Polygonatum odoratum
Polygonatum odoratum, commonly known as Solomon's Seal, is a perennial with graceful arching stems adorned with rows of bell-shaped, fragrant white flowers that dangle delicately in late spring. The plant's green, lance-shaped leaves turn a beautiful shade of yellow in the autumn, offering a seasonal spectacle.
Solomon's Seal thrives in shaded or partially shaded areas, making it an ideal choice for woodland gardens, borders, or underplanting beneath trees. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil and can grow up to 60-90 cm in height. Cut back to the rhizome in autumn when it is dormant.
