Flowering continuously from early Spring through to late Autumn, this variety offers a cool-toned, ever-changing display that requires no deadheading and delivers season-long performance.
Ideal for cottage, contemporary, or coastal gardens, Petunia Supertunia Vista Cool Jazz is perfect for hanging baskets, large containers, window boxes, or garden borders. It thrives in full sun with free-draining soil and benefits from regular feeding to support its vigorous growth and flowering. Space approximately 40-50 cm apart for lush, trailing or mounding coverage.
Forms a mounding to trailing plant approximately 30 cm high and up to 80 cm wide.
Trimming: Trim lightly throughout the growing season to maintain a compact, mounded shape and encourage fresh growth. A mid-season trim (cutting back by about one-third) can rejuvenate the plant if it becomes leggy or overgrown.
Fertilising: Feed every 1-2 weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season. In containers or hanging baskets, combine with a slow-release fertiliser in early spring for best results.
Watering: Water regularly, especially in hot or windy conditions. Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely or become waterlogged.
Pest Control: Watch for aphids, thrips, and whiteflies - treat with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil if needed.
Disease Management: Ensure good airflow and avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal issues such as powdery mildew or botrytis. Remove any diseased or yellowing foliage promptly to maintain plant health.
