Heuchera Northern Exposure Amber

Soft white flowers emerge on slender stems from late Spring through early Summer, adding a light and airy contrast to the richly coloured leaves. Bred for enhanced cold tolerance and durability, it offers striking year-round appeal in both garden beds and containers.
Well-suited to cottage, woodland, or modern gardens, Heuchera Northern Exposure Amber is ideal for shaded borders, underplanting, or mixed containers. It prefers partial to full shade with moist, free-draining soil. Space approximately 35-40 cm apart to encourage healthy growth and airflow.
Forms a compact, mounded clump approximately 30 cm high and 40 cm wide.
Trimming: Remove old or damaged leaves regularly to keep the plant looking tidy. In late winter or early spring, trim back any tired foliage to allow fresh growth to emerge.
Deadheading: Cut back spent flower stems to maintain a neat appearance and encourage a second, lighter flush of flowering.
Fertilising: Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in early spring. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilisers, which may cause leggy growth and reduce foliage colour vibrancy.
Watering: Maintain consistent moisture during the establishment phase. Once established, water during dry periods, especially in warmer months. Ensure soil is well-drained to prevent crown rot.
Pest Control: Monitor for vine weevils, especially in pots-look for notched leaf edges. Use biological controls such as nematodes if larvae are detected.
Disease Management: Heucheras are generally hardy, but poor drainage can lead to crown rot. Improve soil structure if necessary and avoid overwatering. Allow for good air circulation around plants to reduce the risk of fungal issues.
