Flowering from late spring through to early autumn, it adds rich colour and scent to borders, containers, and cut flower arrangements. With tidy, blue-green foliage and a neat clumping habit reaching around 25-30 cm high and wide, it suits cottage, coastal, and formal garden styles.
Plant in full sun with well-draining soil. Space plants 20-30 cm apart to allow for airflow and healthy growth. Deadhead regularly to encourage continuous flowering. Drought-tolerant once established, but benefits from consistent watering during dry spells. Avoid heavy or poorly drained soils, especially in winter.
Trimming: Lightly trim after each flush of flowers to encourage repeat flowering and maintain a neat, compact shape. Cut back more firmly in late autumn to tidy the plant before winter.
Deadheading: Regularly remove spent flowers to prolong the flowering season and keep the plant looking tidy.
