Clivia grandiflora
Clivia grandiflora is a vibrant, shade-loving perennial plant noted for its striking flowers and robust, dark green foliage. This South African native is admired for its clusters of bell-shaped flowers that are a light shade of orange. Flowers are displayed on tall stalks that rise above the foliage, providing a splash of colour to shady areas of the garden. Following flowering, red berries may form. Clivia grandiflora thrives in well-draining soil in shaded or semi-shaded locations, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens or as an understory plant. The mature plant can reach a height of approximately 45-60cm and spread of 45-60cm, presenting a lush, tropical appearance in the landscape. Clivia grandiflora is relatively low maintenance.
