Lomandra Little Lime
Notify MeLomandra Little Lime is a compact, fine-leaved grass-like plant with soft lime-green foliage forming a neat, rounded clump. Its fresh colouring brings brightness and contrast to gardens year-round, while its tidy habit makes it easy to maintain in smaller spaces.
Perfect for borders, edging, mass planting, or containers, it suits modern, coastal, and native-inspired gardens. Compared to Lomandra Lime Tuff, Little Lime stays smaller and more compact (around 40 cm tall), with finer foliage and a softer lime tone. Lime Tuff by contrast grows larger and fuller, making Little Lime the better choice for edging and tight plantings.
Plant in full sun to part shade with free-draining soil. It tolerates dry conditions once established and should be spaced about 50 cm apart for dense coverage.
Mature size: Forms a rounded clump to around 40 cm high and 40–50 cm wide.
Trimming: Lightly trim back old or damaged foliage in late winter or early spring to refresh growth.
Fertilising: Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring to maintain healthy foliage.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, water only during extended dry spells.
Pest Control: Generally pest-free and low-maintenance.
Disease Management: Rarely affected. Ensure free-draining soil to avoid root issues; remove any damaged leaves promptly.
