Finger Lime

The Finger Lime, Citrus australasica, is a remarkable native shrub or small tree prized for its slender, elongated fruits filled with delicate, tangy pearls of citrus. Often referred to as "citrus caviar," the fruits provide an extraordinary burst of flavour and texture, making them a favourite among chefs and food enthusiasts. This evergreen plant also features small, glossy green leaves and charming white to pale pink flowers, which create a delightful contrast against its dense foliage.

The Finger Lime is a versatile addition to any garden, well-suited for edible landscapes, container planting, or as a unique ornamental feature. Plant spacing should allow for its spreading habit, ideally keeping at least 1.5 to 2 metres between plants to ensure proper airflow and to allow the plant to flourish.
