Hydrangea Kyushu - Field Grown

Hydrangea paniculata Kyushu is a stunning deciduous shrub that produces a profusion of large white panicles that gracefully fade to a dusty pink hue. Kyushu boasts shiny leaves and presents a medium stature, making it an ideal choice for smaller gardens. The panicles, although not overly large, are abundant, with individual panicles reaching up to eight inches in length. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to almost any soil type, provided it's well-draining. The lush, bright-green foliage undergoes a transformation, showcasing beautiful autumn colours as the season progresses. For optimal growth, it's recommended to water during drought conditions and winter prune to maintain structure. When fully grown, it can achieve a height and spread of 120-180cm within 5 to 10 years.

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
