Aloe Goby

Aloe Goby is a compact and vibrant succulent with rosettes of fleshy, pointed green leaves adorned with white speckles and serrated edges. This eye-catching aloe produces tall spikes of tubular coral-red flowers during the warmer months, adding seasonal interest and attracting pollinators such as bees and birds. Its clumping habit and unique foliage make it an excellent choice for adding texture and contrast to any garden or pot display.

Ideal for rock gardens, xeriscaping, or modern garden designs. Thrives in full sun to partial shade with well-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established, it requires minimal watering, making it a perfect low-maintenance option. Space plants 15–20 cm apart for a tidy arrangement or allow clusters to form naturally.

Reaches a mature height of 20–30 cm and spreads to approximately 20–40 cm, creating a striking yet compact feature for small spaces or grouped plantings.

Trimming: Remove dead, damaged, or wilted leaves with a clean, sharp knife or scissors. Trim flower stalks after flowering to redirect energy to the plant.

Fertilising: Apply a diluted cactus or succulent fertiliser in spring and summer, once a month, to encourage healthy growth. Avoid fertilising in autumn and winter.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, ensuring the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering during cooler months.

Pest Control: Check for pests such as mealybugs or aphids on leaves and in crevices. Wipe off pests with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol or use insecticidal soap.

Disease Management: Overwatering can cause root rot. Look for signs like soft, mushy leaves or a foul odour. Remove affected roots and repot in fresh, well-draining soil.
