Aloe Fairy Pink PBR

Aloe Fairy Pink PBR is a compact, clump-forming succulent featuring soft green, upright foliage and delicate spikes of pale pink tubular flowers that appear from late summer through to autumn. Its neat habit and gentle colouring make it ideal for rock gardens, borders, containers, and low-maintenance or coastal planting.

Plant in full sun to light shade with free-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established and suitable for dry, exposed sites. Water occasionally in prolonged dry periods. Remove spent flower stems to tidy. Space plants 30 to 40 centimetres apart for mass planting or mixed borders.

Grows to around 30 to 40 centimetres tall and 30 centimetres wide.

Trimming: Remove spent flower stems at the base once flowering has finished. Trim off any damaged or dried leaves at the base to maintain a tidy rosette form.

Deadheading: Not essential, but removing spent flower spikes will enhance appearance and may encourage further flowering.

Fertilising: Apply a slow-release fertiliser suitable for succulents in early spring. In containers or very poor soils, a light liquid feed once or twice during the growing season may be beneficial.

Watering: Water deeply but infrequently. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. During extended dry periods, especially in warmer months, occasional watering helps support flowering. Reduce watering in winter.

Pest Control: Generally pest-resistant. Monitor for mealybugs or aphids on flower spikes or in leaf bases and treat with insecticidal soap if needed.

Disease Management: Use free-draining soil to prevent root rot. Avoid overhead watering and remove any soft, discoloured, or rotting leaves to maintain plant health. Ensure good airflow around the plant, especially in humid conditions.
