Notify MeFraxinus excelsior (European Ash) is a large tree with a wide, rounded head. This deciduous tree has smooth bark and black buds. Yellow autumn leaves. Prefers fertile, moist soils. Up to 30 m tall x 5m wide when mature. Good as a shade tree.
