Cedrus atlantica Glauca, commonly known as the Blue Atlas Cedar, is a majestic evergreen conifer that brings a unique landscape aesthetic with striking silver-blue needles. Originating from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Algeria, this variety has been admired and cultivated since the early 1800s. With an upright and stately growth habit, Glauca reaches an impressive size of 8m in height and 5m in width over ten years, developing into a dense and broad pyramid as it matures. Its tolerance to strong winds and moderate coastal conditions makes it an excellent choice for challenging sites, including those exposed to salty air.

Awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society, Cedrus atlantica Glauca has a conical shape, sparse branching in youth, and dense, feathery boughs that develop over time. The tree's stiff, ascending branches are adorned with clusters of short, silver-blue needles, contributing to its picturesque appearance. Fast-growing, with an annual increase of 30-60cm, it requires space to showcase its full glory.
