Vireya Red Adair

Vireya Red Adair is an evergreen bush producing spectacular, red trumpet-like flowers that are almost double flowers in formation. Prefers a warm, semi-shaded position, protected from frosts. The Vireya group is known for its tropical origins, making them more suitable for warmer climates compared to traditional rhododendrons that thrive in cooler regions. Plant in loose-textured, free-draining, moisture-retentive acidic soil in good light but not harsh sunlight. Avoid compressing soil around the roots and planting in areas prone to high winds. Grows to 1.5m.
