Hibiscus White Chiffon

Hibiscus syriacus White Chiffon is a bushy deciduous shrub with elegant, pure-white, double flowers that exhibit an anemone form. This cold-tolerant plant demonstrates excellent vigour, flowering freely and adding a touch of grace to any garden setting. It grows with a rounded habit to about 2.5-3m tall with a spread of 1.5-2m. White Chiffon is a sterile cultivar, meaning it does not produce viable seeds, making it a maintenance-friendly option for gardeners.

Ideal for full sun positions, White Chiffon thrives in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils, preferring moist, organically rich conditions but showing tolerance for poor soils, drought, salt, heat, and humidity. This shrub is perfect for shrub borders, foundation plantings, hedges, or screens, offering dramatic summer flowers. Pruning in late winter to 2-3 buds can encourage larger flowers. With its hardiness and longevity, White Chiffon is ideal for patios, cottage gardens, exotic gardens, and as a specimen plant.
