Calluna Dark Star

Calluna Dark Star is a variety of heather, closely related to the Erica.  This evergreen shrub typically grows to around 30cm in height and 45cm in width. It has small, dark pink flowers that bloom in late summer and early autumn and stand out against the dark green foliage. It has a more upright growth habit when compared to other Calluna. Calluna Dark Star grows best in well-drained soil with partial to full sun exposure. It is a hardy plant that can survive temperatures as low as -10°C. This low-maintenance plant works well in rock gardens, borders, and containers.
