Uses and Garden Styles

Preferred Conditions
Thrives in full sun to partial shade with well-draining, fertile soil. Keep soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging. Space plants approximately 30 cm apart for dense, even coverage.
Mature Size
Forms a compact mound, reaching 30–40 cm in height and spreading up to 60 cm wide.
Trimming: Prune regularly to maintain shape and encourage dense, bushy growth. A harder cut-back in late winter or early spring will promote fresh new foliage.
Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring and mid-summer. For enhanced colour and growth, supplement with a liquid feed every few weeks during the growing season.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist during establishment. Once established, it tolerates some dryness but benefits from deep watering in extended dry periods. Avoid waterlogging.
Pest Control: Generally pest-resistant, but keep an eye out for aphids and caterpillars. Treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil if needed.
Disease Management: Rarely affected by disease, but ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues. Avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of leaf spots.
