Rose Abraham Darby (Auscot) is a shrub variety bred by David Austin in 1985 noted for its robustness and well-rounded vigour. This rose presents very large, cup-shaped flowers, displaying shades of apricot and yellow, which transition to coral-pink as they mature. The flowers, which consist of about 70 petals each, emit a strong, fruity fragrance with a refreshing sharpness. As a large shrub, the Abraham Darby reaches a height and spread of 1.25m to 1.75m, ideally suited for mixed borders and rose hedges. It thrives in all soil types and requires full sunlight. It also adapts well to various orientations, making it a fitting choice for east, south, and west-facing gardens.
