Sutera Snowstorm Pink (Bacopa)
Notify MeSnowstorm Pink Bacopa is a compact, trailing perennial celebrated for its masses of soft pink, star-like flowers with bright yellow centres, flowering continuously from early Spring through to late Autumn. The delicate flowers and fine green foliage create a cascading effect that adds gentle colour and texture to garden spaces.
Ideal for cottage, coastal, or contemporary gardens, Snowstorm Pink Bacopa is perfect for hanging baskets, containers, window boxes, or the front of borders. It thrives in full sun to partial shade with moist, free-draining soil and benefits from regular watering and feeding to support ongoing flowering. Space approximately 25-30 cm apart for full coverage.
Forms a trailing plant approximately 15-20 cm high and up to 60 cm wide.
Trimming: Lightly trim or pinch back stems as needed to maintain a compact, trailing shape and encourage fresh growth. A mid-season trim can rejuvenate the plant and extend flowering.
Fertilising: Feed every 2-3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season. In containers or hanging baskets, apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring and supplement as needed.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Bacopa does not tolerate drying out - regular watering is essential, especially in hot or windy conditions. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Pest Control: Generally pest-free. Occasionally, aphids or whiteflies may appear - treat with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil if necessary.
Disease Management: Avoid overhead watering and ensure good airflow to reduce the risk of powdery mildew or other fungal issues. Remove any yellowing or unhealthy foliage promptly.
