Salvia Rockin Fuchsia
Salvia fuchsia is a vibrant, long-flowering perennial known for its vivid magenta-pink tubular flowers that attract bees and hummingbirds throughout the warmer months. Its compact, bushy form and rich green foliage offer a striking contrast, making it a standout feature in mixed borders or container plantings. Flowering from late spring through to early autumn, this hardy salvia brings continuous colour and life to the garden.

Thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Tolerates dry conditions once established. Space plants approximately 40–50 cm apart to allow airflow and fullness.
Reaches approximately 60 cm high and 50 cm wide with a tidy, compact habit.
Trimming: Lightly trim in early spring to remove any frost-damaged stems and encourage compact growth. After flowering, cut back by around one-third to promote a second flush and maintain shape.
Deadheading: Regularly remove spent flower spikes to extend the flowering period and keep the plant tidy.
Fertilising: Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertiliser. A second light application in mid-summer can support prolonged flowering.
Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant, though additional watering may be needed in extended dry spells.
Pest Control: Generally pest-resistant, though keep an eye out for aphids on new growth. Treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap if infestations occur.
Disease Management: Salvia 'Fuchsia' is relatively disease-free but ensure good air circulation to prevent powdery mildew. Avoid overhead watering and remove any affected foliage promptly.
