Sagina subulata Aurea

Sagina subulata Aurea, also known as Golden Irish Moss or Scotch Moss, is a low-growing soft herbaceous perennial groundcover that produces tiny star-shaped flowers in spring and requires very little maintenance.

Its evergreen moss-like neon-yellow carpet of foliage is great for filling in between pavers, in rock gardens, or along a path. Light foot traffic is tolerated. During early spring or fall it is easy to propagate by simply tearing the moss into smaller clumps.

Unlike true moss that grows in moist, shady conditions, this plant does best in full sun to part shade and requires good drainage.

Spreads to 30cm and grows to a height of 5-10cm.
