Notify MePetunia Supertunia Mini Vista White is a vigorous, trailing annual that produces masses of small, pure white flowers from spring to late autumn. With its compact habit and continual flowering, it’s ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and the front of garden beds, offering bright, long-lasting colour.
Plant in full sun with free-draining soil. Water regularly and feed fortnightly during the growing season to support flowering. Deadheading is not necessary, making it an easy-care option. Space plants 30 to 40 centimetres apart to allow for spreading growth.
Forms a low, trailing mound approximately 20 centimetres tall and up to 60 centimetres wide.
Trimming: Lightly trim back stems if the plant becomes leggy to encourage a fuller shape. A mid-season cutback can help rejuvenate growth and support continued flowering.
Deadheading: Not strictly necessary, as this variety is self-cleaning, but removing occasional spent flowers can keep the plant looking tidy.
Fertilising: Feed with a liquid fertiliser every one to two weeks during the growing season to support vigorous growth and flowering. A slow-release fertiliser at planting also helps maintain strong performance.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment and throughout dry periods. Ensure the soil is moist but free-draining to avoid root issues.
Pest Control: Keep an eye out for aphids, caterpillars, and thrips. Treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil if infestations appear.
Disease Management: Watch for signs of botrytis or powdery mildew, especially in damp or overcrowded conditions. Ensure good airflow and avoid overhead watering. Remove any affected leaves promptly.
