Notify MeLobelia Laguna Cloud White is a vigorous, trailing perennial admired for its masses of pure white, fan-shaped flowers that appear from late Spring through to Autumn. The flowers are held above fine green foliage, creating a soft, cascading effect ideal for adding brightness and texture to garden displays.
Perfect for cottage, coastal, or contemporary gardens, Lobelia Laguna Cloud White is ideal for hanging baskets, window boxes, containers, or the front of garden beds. It thrives in full sun to partial shade with moist, free-draining soil and benefits from regular feeding and deadheading to encourage continuous flowering. Space approximately 25-30 cm apart to allow for natural spreading.
Forms a trailing plant approximately 20-25 cm high and up to 40 cm wide.
Trimming: Lightly trim back if the plant becomes leggy or after a heavy flowering flush to encourage compact growth and ongoing blooms. Regular pinching of stems can help maintain a neat, mounding habit.
Deadheading: Not necessary, as this variety is self-cleaning - spent flowers drop naturally, keeping the plant tidy and encouraging continual flowering.
Fertilising: Feed every 2-3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season. For container plantings, apply a slow-release fertiliser in early spring and supplement with liquid feed as needed.
Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Laguna Cloud White does not tolerate drought well-avoid letting it dry out completely, especially in containers or hanging baskets.
Pest Control: Generally pest-free. Monitor for aphids or whiteflies in sheltered or indoor conditions. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap if needed.
Disease Management: Ensure good drainage and avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of fungal issues such as root rot or mildew. Remove any yellowing or unhealthy foliage promptly to maintain plant health.
