Best planted in full sun to partial shade with moist, free-draining, fertile soil. Space plants 1-1.2 metres apart for hedging or mass planting. Protect from frost and cold winds. Water regularly, especially in dry periods, and mulch annually to conserve moisture. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape and encourages new growth.
Trimming: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead, damaged, or leggy branches throughout the year as needed. Avoid heavy pruning into old wood.

Disease Management: Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal problems like powdery mildew or root rot. Avoid overhead watering and remove any yellowing or diseased foliage promptly. Use mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of the stem base.
