Ajuga reptans Atropurpurea is a robust groundcover featuring rich, dark purple-bronze foliage that provides year-round colour. In late spring to early summer, it produces striking blue-purple flower spikes, adding a vibrant contrast to its foliage. This hardy perennial is ideal for suppressing weeds and filling shaded areas with texture and visual interest.
Perfect for woodland gardens, cottage borders, or modern designs looking for bold, low-growing accents. Plant in partial to full shade with moist, well-draining soil. Reaches a mature height of 10–15 cm and spreads to approximately 30–40 cm, forming a lush, colourful carpet over time.
