Agapanthus Agapetite

Agapanthus Agapetite is a compact, dwarf variety of Agapanthus with pristine white flowers that emerge on short stems during summer. Its strap-like green foliage forms a neat clump, making it perfect for small spaces or container planting. The tidy, low-growing habit and long-lasting flowers make this cultivar an excellent choice for adding brightness to garden beds and borders.

Ideal for modern, coastal, or cottage gardens, Agapanthus Agapetite thrives in full sun and tolerates a range of well-drained soils. It is low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. Space plants 20–30 cm apart for an even, compact display.

Mature size: Reaches up to 20–30 cm in height and width, forming a small, tidy mound.

Trimming: Cut back foliage in late autumn or winter once it has died back naturally. Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves during the growing season to maintain a tidy appearance.

Deadheading: Remove spent flower stems after flowering to encourage further blooms and prevent self-seeding, especially if managing invasive tendencies.

Fertilising: Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth and flowering. Avoid over-fertilising, as this can reduce flower production.

Watering: Water regularly during the establishment phase and dry periods. Established Agapanthus are drought-tolerant but will benefit from occasional deep watering during hot weather.

Pest Control: Check for slugs, snails, and mealybugs. Remove pests manually or use suitable deterrents.

Disease Management: Agapanthus are generally disease-resistant but may develop root rot in poorly draining soil. Ensure soil is well-draining and avoid overwatering.
