Fuscospora fusca
Nothofagus fusca or fuscospora fusca - Red Beech is a beautiful New Zealand native tree with a narrow, pyramidal shape and small oval leaves. At a young age, the foliage goes quite red in winter. It prefers inland areas with deep well-drained soil, not a fan of coastal areas. Clips beautifully into a hedge.
