Elaeocarpus hookerianus, commonly known as Pokaka, is a evergreen tree native to New Zealand featuring attractive, glossy green leaves that turn a stunning red or orange in the cooler months. In spring, it produces small, bell-shaped white flowers that add a delicate charm to its overall appearance, followed by dark, fleshy fruit that provide visual interest and attract native birds.
