Corokia Pounamu
Corokia Pounamu is one of our favourite varieties of corokia for hedging. Evergreen, with rounded silvery-green leaves, it produces yellow starry flowers in the spring followed by red berries popular with native birds in the summer. It is a great hedging plant for windy areas, especially on the coast. Plant at 50-60cm spacings for a dense hedge or 1.5m spacings for a standalone or filler shrub. Can reach a height of 2m if left unclipped but can be maintained at a height of 50cm with once or twice a year trimmings.
