Ilex Largo

Ilex Largo is a versatile evergreen shrub known for its lush, dark green, oval-shaped leaves. Developed in New Zealand, this non-native holly variety boasts an upright, bushy growth habit, reaching a height of 3m and a width of 2m in 10 years. Its new spring growth emerges in bright, glossy green, adding a touch of vibrancy to your garden. Ilex Largo is highly adaptable, tolerating a range of conditions including dry periods, cool climates, frost, and coastal environments. It's an excellent choice for hedging, topiary, or as a backdrop for smaller plants, especially when planted in full to partial sun and well-drained soil. For a dense hedge, it is recommended to space these plants between 75cm - 1m apart.
