Sarcococca ruscifolia - Field-Grown

Sarcococca ruscifolia, also known as Fragrant Sweetbox, is an evergreen shrub valued for its glossy, dark green foliage and highly fragrant, small, creamy-white flowers which appear in winter to early spring. With a height of up to 1.5m and a spread of up to 1m, it is an excellent choice for adding lush, year-round greenery and a delightful winter perfume.

The Fragrant Sweetbox prefers partial to full shade and is tolerant of a range of soil types, although it thrives best in moist, well-drained soils. It is a great choice for borders, foundation plantings, or woodland gardens. The lustrous, leathery leaves and bright red berries that follow the flowers add a visual appeal to this plant throughout the year.
