Magnolia Kay Parris - Field-Grown

Magnolia Kay Parris is an evergreen magnolia variety that showcases dark, glossy leaves with a stunning bronze underside and a spectacular display of large, fragrant, cream-white flowers. This field-grown grade stands at 90-120cm, ideal for an instant impact. 

The Magnolia 'Kay Parris' flourishes in a sunny or partially shaded position with well-drained, fertile soil. It appreciates slightly acidic soil conditions, but can adapt to neutral soils as well. Being a hardy variety, it can tolerate some exposure to cold, though it appreciates a sheltered location in regions prone to severe frosts. Regular watering, particularly in drier periods, will keep it at its best.

It thrives in full sun with well-drained, fertile soil that is slightly acidic. It can withstand some cold exposure but will need protection against severe frosts. Regular watering will keep it healthy, especially during dry spells.

Magnolia Kay Parris makes a beautiful specimen tree with its stunning leaves and fragrant, eye-catching flowers. It can also be used as a screen or informal hedge due to its upright and compact growth habit, providing privacy without losing its decorative appeal.

At full maturity, it can reach an impressive height of 4-6 metres. However, it can be pruned to maintain a smaller size if desired.

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibers like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
