Araucaria heterophylla - Field-Grown

Araucaria heterophylla, commonly referred to as the Norfolk Island Pine, is an evergreen conifer with a distinctive symmetrical pyramidal shape. Native to Norfolk Island in the Pacific, this tree features dense, lustrous, dark green foliage arranged in horizontal whorls. The branches are horizontally layered and create a visually appealing display. The Norfolk Island Pine is a popular choice as an ornamental tree, particularly as a potted plant indoors or as a focal point in gardens and landscapes. Grows to a height of 50-65m at maturity.

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
