Juniperus chinensis Stricta

Juniperus chinensis Stricta, a distinguished member of the Cupressaceae family, is considered an optimal species for providing year-round structure, as neither its colour nor its shape change with the seasons. It is a small, compact, coniferous, evergreen shrub of narrowly pyramidal habit, with a peeling bark, tight, ascending branches, sprays of aromatic, soft, blue-green leaves, and small berry-like seed cones known as juniper berries. 

Adaptable and hardy, Juniperus chinensis Stricta thrives in a range of soil types, provided they are well-drained. It prospers in full sun, reflecting its natural tolerance for drought conditions once established. 

It serves various practical purposes, from windbreaks and privacy screens to an elegant specimen within a formal garden, adding vertical interest.

Grows up to 180cm high and 160 wide.
