Cupressus nootkatensis Green Arrow, also known as Green Arrow Alaskan Cedar or Weeping Nootka Cypress, is a striking evergreen conifer prized for its extremely narrow, upright growth habit and cascading branches. The foliage is a rich blue-gray-green, providing year-round interest with its elegant weeping form. It is very hardy and can withstand sub zero temperatures, making it suitable for a wide range of climates.
Ideal for use as a specimen plant, Green Arrow can also be incorporated into mixed borders or used to create a striking focal point. Its narrow form and weeping branches make it perfect for adding height and architectural interest without taking up much space. This conifer is also well-suited for container planting, allowing it to be featured in patios or entryways before being transplanted into the ground as it matures. This tree thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-resistant and requires minimal maintenance.
This tree can grow to a height of 3 to 12 metres while maintaining a slender width of 0.6 to 1.2 metres, making it an excellent choice for tight spaces or as a dramatic vertical accent in the landscape.
