Pandorea jasminoides Jazzy Bellz

Pandorea jasminoides Jazzy Bellz is a fast-growing, evergreen climber prized for its striking, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of soft pink with a bold, deep pink throat. Flowering from spring through to autumn, it provides a long-lasting, eye-catching display against its lush, glossy green foliage. Ideal for covering trellises, fences, or pergolas, it adds height and colour to subtropical, cottage, and contemporary garden styles. Typically reaches 3-5 metres high with support.

Plant in full sun to partial shade with free-draining, fertile soil. Space at least 1-1.5 metres from other climbers to allow room to spread. Water regularly during dry periods and mulch annually to retain soil moisture. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth. Protect from heavy frost in cooler regions.

Trimming: Prune lightly after flowering to control size, encourage branching, and maintain a tidy shape. More substantial shaping can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. It responds well to pruning if trained on a trellis or wall.

Deadheading: Not required, but removing spent flower clusters can help improve appearance and reduce self-seeding in warmer climates.

Fertilising: Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertiliser. A second application in mid-summer can support ongoing growth and flowering, particularly in containers or nutrient-poor soils.

Watering: Water regularly during establishment and in prolonged dry spells. Once established, Pandorea is moderately drought-tolerant but flowers best with consistent moisture in free-draining soil.

Pest Control: Generally pest-resistant. Occasionally, aphids or mealybugs may appear-treat infestations early with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Disease Management: Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Avoid overhead watering to minimise fungal issues, and remove any yellowing or damaged foliage promptly. Provide good airflow, especially in humid conditions.
