Sorbus aria Lutescens - Bare-rooted

Sorbus aria, commonly known as the Whitebeam, is a compact and upright tree with a pyramidal shape. It features oval, dark green leaves with a distinctive silvery-white underside, which create a shimmering effect when they move in the wind. In late spring, clusters of small, creamy-white flowers appear, followed by red berries in autumn that are attractive to wildlife.

Sorbus aria is an excellent choice for use as a specimen tree or along driveways. It is hardy and can withstand harsh conditions including wind. It thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil, and can tolerate a range of soil types, including chalky and dry soils. This tree is well-suited to various garden styles, including formal, cottage, and naturalistic designs.

Mature Size: 8m tall and 6m wide.
