Astelia nervosa is a robust, evergreen perennial native to New Zealand, known for its upright, sword-like foliage in tones of silvery-green with coppery undersides. The striking contrast and structural form make it a standout feature year-round, particularly in cooler months when the colour intensifies.
Well-suited to native plantings, coastal gardens, and contemporary landscapes, it thrives in part shade with moist, free-draining soil. It tolerates wind and light frost and performs well in exposed or sheltered sites. Space plants 60–80cm apart to accommodate their natural spread.
Typically grows to 80cm tall and 1m wide, forming a dense, architectural clump.
Notify MeLavandula angustifolia Hidcote, is a highly sought-after evergreen shrub for its compact growth habit and fragrant, deep purple flowers. Its aromatic foliage and striking flower spikes, which appear from late spring through summer, attract pollinators and provide a lovely sensory experience.
Lavender Hidcote is ideal for mixed borders, edging, and container planting. Well suited to gardens designed with Mediterranean, cottage, or formal styles, adding structure and classic beauty. This lavender prefers full sun and well-draining, slightly alkaline to neutral soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance.
Cut back after flowering to help maintain its compact shape and encourages new growth. Remove spent flower spikes to extend the flowering period. Grows to a height of about 30-45 cm and a spread of 45-60 cm, forming a rounded mound.

Cornus alba Sibirica is a species of award-winning deciduous shrub or small tree in the dogwood family (Cornaceae), known as Siberian Dogwood. It is native to northern and central Asia and is well known for its bright red stem colour in winter and its small white flowers in spring.
Easy to grow and maintain, Siberian Dogwood thrives in a range of soil types, preferring moist, well-drained conditions. It is remarkably adaptable, tolerating both full sun and partial shade, making it a versatile choice for garden borders, mass plantings, or as an eye-catching standalone specimen. Regular pruning encourages the growth of those characteristic bright red stems, ensuring a vibrant display year after year.
It typically grows to a height of 1-1.5m.
