Juncus pallidus - Giant Rush - Tiny Tots

Juncus pallidus is a tall, strong-growing rush, forming dense clumps of pale blue green foliage found throughout New Zealand. It can have a striking presence in the garden, where it is best contained in some manner on account of its vigorous nature. It is better suited to larger scale plantings in wetlands and riparian areas right on the waters edge, providing bank stabilisation. Juncus pallidus is very tolerant of both wet and drought conditions, as well as frost and exposed conditions. Grows 1-2m tall, and in clumps.
