Echeveria secunda Green

A much-loved and highly-variable blue-green rosette from Central Mexico. This is a wonderfully vigorous grower and produces lots of offsets which are easily removed to share or transplant. Cool temperatures can bring a pink tinge to older leaves followed by tall bloom stalks with yellow flowers. Echeveria need bright sunlight to maintain their colours and compact rosette form. They will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. Like most succulents, they need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot.
