Cornus controversa, also known as Wedding Cake Tree, has a peculiar layered branches structure. Glossy, dark-green, with little white flowers in summer. During winter, foliage have purple-red colours. Prefers rich, moist, well-drained soils in full to part shade. It can reach up to 4m tall.
