Camellia Coronation

Camellia Coronation is a magnificent evergreen shrub that stands out with its glossy, dark green foliage and very large semi-double flowers of the purest white, featuring a beautiful central crown of ruffled and crimped petaloids adorned with lovely rich golden stamens.

Whether planted as a focal point in flower gardens, utilised as a graceful hedge or screening, or displayed in containers on patios and balconies it can serve multiple purposes in garden landscapes.

Camellia Coronation thrives in well-drained acidic soil and partial shade. While it can tolerate sunlight, it prefers sheltered locations to protect its delicate blooms from intense heat and harsh winds. Adequate moisture is important, especially during the establishment period and dry spells, to ensure healthy growth and prolific flowering. Applying mulch around the base helps retain soil moisture and regulates temperature fluctuations.

Typically grows to about 2.5m high and 2m wide. forming a dense, rounded silhouette. To maintain its desired size and shape, periodic pruning is recommended, preferably after flowering.
