Azalea Barbecue

Masses of double apricot flowers adorn the compact, well-rounded bush of Azalea Barbecue in November. This deciduous azalea produces ball-shaped clusters of double, soft salmon-pink flowers with pale pink and cream markings and an orange flare. With its mid-season flowering, Azalea Barbecue adds a burst of colour to the garden when many other plants have finished blooming.

Perfect for adding a splash of vibrant colour to mixed borders, woodland gardens, and as a standout feature in shrub beds, Azalea Barbecue thrives in gardens designed with a naturalistic or woodland style. This azalea prefers full sun but will also grow well in partly shaded positions, making it versatile for various garden settings. It requires well-draining, rich, acidic soil and is fully hardy and tolerant to frosts, ensuring it can withstand cooler temperatures.

Regular watering is essential during hot and dry periods to keep Azalea Barbecue healthy and thriving. Fertilise in spring with an acidic fertiliser and mulch with organic material to help retain soil moisture and provide nutrients. Pruning for shape may be necessary, and deadheading old buds will encourage new growth for the next season.

Azalea Barbecue reaches approximately 1.2 metres in height, creating a stunning, rounded silhouette.
