Poplar Veronese
Poplar Veronese is an imported P. x euramericana hybrid black poplar and is a straight-stemmed, narrow-crowned tree. It has good drought and wind tolerance. Medium possum and rust resistance. More drought-resistant and wind-hardy than P. Tasman, excellent for soil conservation. Foliage is good stock fodder. Tolerates clay sites. Plant at 1m spacings for a single-row shelter. Deciduous.
